
Married, three children, studied social sciences, German language and literature studies and educational science for a teaching degree for secondary schools at the University of Duisburg from 1978 to 1982. Studies in the USA as a preparation for a thesis in educational science at the Harvard University/MIT, promotion in 1988 at the University of Duisburg (main subject: ecological pedagogics), internship in Hesse from 1989 to 1991, parental leave from 1991 to 1999, fine arts studies from 2000 to 2005, working as a freelance artist focussed on painting and object art since 2005, became founding donator and director of the vita Stiftung für Umwelt, Bildung und Kultur in 2007, attending an open university course in Buddhistic philosophy at the Tibetisches Zentrum Hamburg since 2007, founded the arthouse K22 in 2008, curator for art and photographic art exhibitions, organisation of lectures, readings and concerts.
