Brazil: Alta Floresta

The current plan is to support the Brazilian www.fundacaocristalino.org.br foundation in Alta Floresta with regards to a project that gets adolescents to the rainforest for a week.

Here the teenagers learn about the sustainable life support opportunities, the rainforest offers the native inhabitants. Too often, the rainforest is cleared heedlessly for land cultivation or livestock breeding purposes or even to produce firewood. This on-hands experience of alternative exploitation options is transferred to friends and families of the teenagers. It is essential for these educational activities to begin at an early age, thus usually achieving a sustained effect.
