Global: Sustainability indicator (eiiw-vita Index)

The long-term objective of the vita Foundation is to support and promote research activities related to sustainable economics. This will first and foremost concern the importance and limitation of the prevalent economic growth paradigm.

In addition to the assessment of traditional growth terms, qualitative indicators to be considered for the determination of a new sustainable growth concept shall be developed. These results are intended to form a basis for alternative sustainable economics approaches. This project is a long-term mission by nature and intermediate results will be published here from time to time. Currently, some first consultations with the Europäische Institut für Internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen (European institute for international business relations) at the university of Wuppertal (www.eiiw.eu), serve to evaluate the implementation of this project
